Paradise
by marteandkristin
I love this song. It’s beautiful, but I can’t decide if it is sad or not. I think the song is about this little girl, who had big dreams, and expected the world to come to her. Then she grew up, and reality hit her. The song is very touching for me, because I can relate to it so easily, especially after the last year. I have always been a dreamer, and I’m still. But life looks less complicated when you are little.
This is a picture of one of the moments I felt I almost was in paradise. On a beautiful beach, on an island in Malaysia. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to travel.
Do you have a song who means something special to you? And where is your paradise?
Love Kristin

Ironically, “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. It depicts the bittersweet, almost spiritual reflection of rising to the top and falling. A painful, yet enlightening reminder that life is what wins, not you.

Do you live there? Beautiful. Looks like I place I could call paradise to.
I wish I lived there. Although the surfing’s not too bad in New Jersey, as long as you wait until after the crowds have gone
Okei, New Jersey looks fine to. I wish I could surf!!
Our current favorite has been Eric Church’s Springsteen, takes us back to our teens.
Untouched Pacific Northwest Coast rainforest. Anywhere you can go for a walk in the woods with your little ones, and not hear a sound is paradise.
‘One Thing’ by Finger Eleven is my song. I first heard it right around the time my eldest son was born, and it hit me.
Good Coldplay song. I don’t think there’s a Coldplay song I don’t like.
That sounds like a paradise
I haven’t heard that song before, but I liked it! And yes, Coldplay is genious.
Thank you for liking my blog. Means a lot.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful song. I love how the internet connects like-minded (and like-hearted!) spirits … thanks for stopping by. Here’s a song that puts me in a great place for finding Paradise wherever I am:
That’s a nice song! It reminds me of the new years eve last year, great memories
And are you from the Bahama Islands? Looks beautiful!
http://youtu.be/I_tIss1OhGM – I could mention this one. Thank you for visiting and liking my blog. Kind regards from Croatia,

I am off to Malaysia in January 2013. I would love to hear your thoughts on where I should go
Then you are lucky! We went to visit some familyfriends who have lived in Kuala Lumpur a couple of years. So we really got to experience the city with someone who knows what to see, and what to do. The shopping centres is fabolous, and you should go up in the KL Tower, the view is amazing! We went to Batu Caves, that was pretty cool, and with alot of monkeys! You should also go to the markets and take a look. We were very lucky, and got the opportunity to go tha a malaysian wedding, that was a different experience. And we went to the birdpark in Lake Gardens. KL is a very nice city, with alot of different religions, but everyone are very friendly. We also spent some days at http://www.holidayvillahotels.com/ on Langkawi Island. That’s a really nice hotel, we did not see soo much of the Island, but my impression was good. I think that’s an island to visit if you want activities, but you can find more exotic island I think. Good luck
I love the Paradise song its like a…I’m so happy I could cry moment you know?
1.Song the means the most to me “Unconditional Love” by 2Pac

2.Paradise for me family events.
I love Coldplay’s ‘The Hardest Part’ live version, sad though it is http://youtu.be/y8F6maovp2s and ‘Christmas Lights’. I rewrote this as a birthday song to my father when he turned 70. Awesome.
The song which means the most to me at the moment is: Adele “someone like you”.
My paradise is where my heart lives and so everywhere I have friends, family and where I feel light and happy.
For many years, one of my favorite songs has been “Anchorage”, by Michelle Shocked. It’s a touching song about two old friends who have lost touch with each other for over two years – until one friend decides to mail a letter.
It was only very recently that I read the Wikipedia article about the song, and realized that it’s quite a sad song.
Still, I like the song.
My paradise is the city of Portland, Oregon. It’s very much like my hometown of Seattle, Washington. So, I guess this means that I’m very close to paradise.
Paradise is always just out of reach, just over the next horizon, and that’s the best, and safest place for it. I don’t think we have the patience for Paradise anymore. If we ever found it we’d take a picture with our smart phone, create an app, geo-tag it and post it on Facebook. Within an hour there’d be thousands partying. At dawn Paradise would be littered with beer bottles, collapsed revellers and other detritus. Then Paradise wouldn’t be Paradise anymore. I say, let’s leave Paradise out of reach, that way we can all enjoy it.
Greek island, and ‘wild is teh wind’ by Bowie:)
I am an admitted Coldplay fan. I think I have been to 14 concerts and just saw them in the City. I love them and their lyrics are amazing. I actually have a post ready to roll on them. Love your blog!
Very pretty creative thoughts that make you deep
Awesome song, thanks for sharing that. Great video too.
Want to know what my special song is? LOL Boy, did you ask the wrong person…
I have so many special songs I decided to start a blog to tell my 5 year old son about them and what they mean to me. That way, when he’s older, he can read about the times we shared and all the things I did before he came into my life
Stop by and visit sometime

People are my song, I love people. Every noise they make, is music to my ears. I’m so happy to be alive and surrounded by people :0) Especially if I’m on a tropical beach enjoying the sun and everything nature offers :0) So thank you for all you share. Love that photo of you in Malaysia; it’s perfect! Thanks for being who you are; If you’re human, that means you’re awesome! Your friend always, -Ben :0)
